Covenant Restorations was started right after the devastating effects of hurricane Katrina. Just seven days after Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast in 2005, we were there. We experienced firsthand the importance of helping people with the basic needs of life. We went to help with the intentions of drying out water damaged buildings and found ourselves working in distributions centers unloading trucks and passing our food, water and ice. Nothing was more moving to see people helping people. Spending time praying with people, giving them a hug or a shoulder to cry on was the least we could do. We found ourselves in the middle of new calling in life, helping people in their time of need.



How could we see such devastation and not have compassion? We couldn’t tell someone “Sorry, if you don’t have insurance, we can’t help.” We quickly developed the policy that if you had insurance coverage then we need to get paid but if you didn’t, we still need to help. Today, we still operate on this policy. Please understand that we can’t afford to help everyone for free but we can help some. We don’t receive financial support from non-profit charities, organizations or the government. But those who have insurance coverage help us to be able to help those who don’t.

We also discovered that those who had insurance coverages often didn’t know what to do, where to start and let alone had ever filed a claim. We quickly found ourselves helping people with their insurance claim. We had the knowledge of what needed to be done and the tools to prove it. We helped people get the proper funds to restore their property to previous loss conditions. We were blessed to be able to help 15 churches get their buildings restored for just a deductable. One 60 member church that could barely afford the pastor’s salary got over $860,000 to restore their property! Unfortunately, we saw others end up short because they didn’t prove what had to be done and why.

Turns out when it comes to an insurance claim it’s all about the details. Today, we have over $30,000 invested in meters, inspection tools, cameras and documentation equipment. Combine that with our numerous advanced and master certifications and years of experience and you have a solid, trained foundation to produce meticulous and scientifically substantiated estimates. Our detailed documentation is so precise we can even calculate kilowatts used by our drying equipment and gallons of water extracted through the dehumidification drying process.

We are often hired by property owners, insured individuals, independent adjusters, general contractors, restoration contractors, consultants and attorneys because of the quality of our inspection, documentation and estimating. We find that most adjusters are overloaded with work, with demands from multiple directions and too may claims at one time. This prohibits them from spending the necessary time to be as precise and thorough as they need to be. We’re not blaming or complaining, we are grateful to be able to provide help. We are in this kind of business because nothing is more satisfying and fulfilling than helping people in their time of need.
